Living History

Our work has an educational slant and we consider authenticity to be of the highest importance. We prefer to work with found materials where possible and are extremely cautious when interpretations come into play. Unfortunately, due to the general nature of pirates they themselves left very little behind to get a first person account from

RIPP has a large store of what might loosely be termed “props.” Constructed of materials available at the time they include clothes, tents, cooking equipment, and an array of other museum quality artifacts. When circumstances allow we enjoy going on group outings, such as daytrips to colonial towns, camping, and soon we hope to add sailing to this list. When this all comes together it forms an authentic living history environment from which members can teach and demonstrate their crafts and daily activities.
